Google Maps Updates Ask Maps with Hotel and Event Discovery

Google Maps has updated its Ask Maps conversational interface with hotel and local event discovery, extending to 150+ countries. Users can ask for hotels by price and rating, get real-time prices and availability, and receive nearby activity suggestions with booking links. Ask Maps uses Gemini and agentic capabilities for complex tasks, adds Personal Intelligence connecting Gmail, and a transit widget. Hotel and event discovery is US-only for now.
