New Civil Aviation Anti-Involution Rules: No Increase in Airlines by 2030

China's civil aviation authority and three other departments jointly issued opinions on improving the entry and exit mechanisms for public air transport enterprises, aiming to rectify 'involution' competition. The document states that the number of public air transport enterprises will not increase by 2030, supports mergers and market-based exits, and raises entry standards, such as minimum paid-in capital of 600 million yuan for passenger airlines.
