U.S. State Department Lowers Mozambique Travel Advisory to Level 2

The U.S. Department of State lowered Mozambique's travel advisory from Level 3 to Level 2 due to a decrease in election-related protests, but added the Niassa Special Reserve to the Do Not Travel list. Cabo Delgado Province, the Niassa Special Reserve, and parts of northern Nampula Province remain Level 4 due to terrorism. Protests can turn violent and block roads, violent crime is common, and health infrastructure is weak.
