US State Dept Issues Level 2 Travel Advisory for Armenia

The U.S. Department of State issued a Level 2 "Exercise Increased Caution" travel advisory for Armenia due to areas of potential armed conflict. The advisory says not to travel to the border region with Azerbaijan for any reason, and restricts U.S. Embassy employees and family members from non-essential travel to areas east of Vardenis in Gegharkunik, east of Goris and south of Kapan in Syunik. Travel through Yeraskh village in Ararat region is allowed, but stopping is not.
