UK FCDO Updates Myanmar Travel Advice: Avoid All Travel to Several Regions

The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) updated travel advice for Myanmar, warning that conflict is increasingly volatile and the security situation may deteriorate at short notice. FCDO advises against all travel to Chin State, Kachin State, Kayah State, Kayin State, Mon State, Rakhine State, Sagaing and Magway regions, Tanintharyi Region (excluding Myeik township), Shan State North, North Mandalay Region, etc. It advises against all but essential travel to Shan State South and East, Mandalay Region, southern Tanintharyi, etc. The latest update includes information on mobile device registration and drone use.
