European Commission Launches Alliance for the Reduction of Bureaucratic Burden

European Commissioner Dombrovskis delivered a keynote speech in Brussels launching the Alliance for the Reduction of Bureaucratic Burden. The Commission has tabled twelve major Omnibus simplification proposals with the potential to save at least €17 billion in annual administrative costs for European businesses and national administrations. The Commission targets cutting administrative burdens by at least 25% for all companies and at least 35% for SMEs, with plans to deliver simplification proposals in banking, housing, transport and digital sectors in 2027.
