Bolivia Travel Advisory Remains Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution

The U.S. Department of State maintains Bolivia at Level 2 (Exercise Increased Caution) due to crime and civil unrest. Some areas have increased risk, particularly Chapare Province which is Level 4 (Do Not Travel) due to crime. U.S. government employees need special authorization to travel to Chapare.
