U.S. State Department Renews Yemen Level 4 Travel Advisory, Risk Indicators Unchanged

The U.S. Department of State renewed its travel advisory for Yemen on December 19, 2025, maintaining Level 4: Do Not Travel, with no changes to the advisory level or risk indicators and only the advisory summary updated. The advisory cites terrorism, unrest, crime, health risks, kidnapping and landmines as the main threats, and states that U.S. citizens should not travel to Yemen for any reason. The U.S. Embassy in Sana'a suspended operations in February 2015, and the U.S. government is unable to provide emergency or routine consular services.
