Nox Mobility raises €2M pre-seed to develop private-room night trains

Berlin-based startup Nox Mobility raised €2 million in pre-seed funding led by IBB Ventures. The company plans to develop an overnight rail model in Europe centered on private cabins, as an alternative to short-haul flights and hotel stays. Funds will be used to grow the team, build a full-scale mock-up, and prepare for first routes expected in 2027. The company noted that the number of night trains in Europe declined from roughly 1,200 per week in 2001 to 450 in 2019.
