Transportation Producer Price Index – July 2026

The Bureau of Transportation Statistics reported that the transportation equipment Producer Price Index rose 2.4% from July 2025 to July 2026. Changes in PPI for transportation services varied by mode: Air +7.1%, Rail +1.3%, Truck +10.9%, Water +17.2%, Arrangement of freight and cargo +2.2%. All services rose 5.1%, with transportation contributing 12.7% to the overall increase.
