UK CAA publishes September ATOL renewal data

On 7 October 2026, the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) published data following the September 2026 ATOL licence renewal. It is reported that 1,624 travel companies currently hold ATOL licences; of the 1,042 licences due to expire on 30 September, 951 have been renewed, while a further 42 are still in the application process or have not yet met the licence conditions. As of the end of August 2026, 20 million passengers have enjoyed ATOL-protected holidays this year, flat or slightly up on the previous year.
