Nanjing Gaochun Hosts Ten-Thousand-Person Crab Tasting Carnival

From October 5 to 6, 2026, the Ten-Thousand-Person Crab Tasting Carnival and National Crab Fun Event was held at the Gucheng Lake Water Slow City Scenic Area in Gaochun, Nanjing, attracting car enthusiasts and tourists from 8 cities: Nanjing, Hefei, Changzhou, Yangzhou, Zhenjiang, Wuhu, Chuzhou, and Ma'anshan. The event included a ten-thousand-person lakeside crab banquet, a drone fireworks show, a lakeside concert, a farmer-support market, and online livestream e-commerce, promoting production-sales matching for Gucheng Lake crabs. Gaochun District will use this event as a starting point to promote the normalized operation of the "Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals" IP and to deepen the tourist source mutual-sending mechanism with car clubs and travel agencies in source markets.
