Winter traffic adjustments on Xinjiang's Ahe and Yizhao highways

Reported on October 20, 2026, the Ahe Highway in Xinjiang has operated in winter traffic mode since October 16, 2026, permitting only four-wheel-drive off-road vehicles with snow tires and seating seven or fewer people (including seven). Two-way traffic between Altay City and Hemu is allowed from 10:00 to 14:00. The Yizhao Highway's Yining-to-Zhaosu section from K35+000 to K72+000 will be closed from 10:00 on October 20, 2026, and vehicles heading to Zhaosu County must detour via the G577 line. The winter traffic adjustments for both highways have now been implemented.
