Hotel Industry Explores Green Consumption and Supply Chain Carbon Reduction Practices
把绿色体验变成加分项
Reported on October 29, 2026, hotel groups such as BTG Homeinns, Huazhu, and Jinjiang Hotels (China Region) are turning green options like "no bed linen change for consecutive stays" into experiences guests can choose on their own through app booking checkboxes, point rewards, and carbon data tracking. As of August this year, Huazhu's "Green Stay" orders covered 3.821 million room nights, cumulatively reducing towel washing by 19.1 million towels and carbon emissions by 1,640 tons. Suzhou Nanyuan Hotel and others use AI visual recognition of kitchen waste to help adjust meal preparation and procurement. The report did not disclose the start time of the above measures or progress in earlier stages.
