Reported on October 21, 2026, the Hohhot Municipal People's Government and Inner Mongolia Civil Aviation Airport Group Co., Ltd. issued a notice stating that construction of Hohhot Shengle International Airport has been fully completed and has passed acceptance inspection, and that it is planned to begin operations at midnight on November 26, 2026; at that time, Hohhot Baita International Airport will close at the same time.
