Airbnb donates to Airbnb.org per booking

On October 28, 2026, Airbnb announced it will donate $0.10 to the nonprofit Airbnb.org for each platform accommodation booking, excluding canceled bookings. Reports say the expected total, together with other donations, will provide $500 million in funding over the next five years, and that it will not raise guest prices or reduce host payouts. Airbnb.org plans to provide 1 million free nights per year for five years, and its medical accommodation program will expand to more than 20 countries by the end of 2026. Regarding the current scale of free stays, earlier reports said 129,000 nights in 2025, while follow-up reports say 100,000 nights are expected this year, and say the 1 million-night goal is about 10 times this year's figure. Follow-up reports also say the donation takes effect starting this Wednesday.
