Xiamen's first cruise-to-nowhere sea route sets sail

On September 24, 2026, Xiamen, together with Shenzhen and Guangzhou, was included by the Ministry of Transport in a new batch of pilot cities for cruise-to-nowhere sea tourism; Shanghai and Tianjin had previously carried out pilots first. On the evening of November 1, Xiamen's first cruise-to-nowhere sea tourism route set sail; the "Adora Mediterranea" carried nearly 2,500 tourists on a three-day, two-night "sea micro-vacation" voyage of 328 nautical miles round trip, and Taiwanese passengers accounted for 7% of the passengers on that sailing.
