山西增强旅游目的地发展能级
In November 2026, the Shanxi Provincial Government recently issued the 'Shanxi Province 15th Five-Year Plan for High-Quality Development of Culture and Tourism,' proposing key tasks such as enhancing the development level of tourism destinations. The plan explicitly calls for promoting integrated quality improvement and coordinated development of Mount Wutai, the Yungang Grottoes, Pingyao Ancient City, and the Shanxi section of the 'Great Wall,' and for upgrading the comprehensive tourism service functions of gateway cities such as Taiyuan, Datong, Yuncheng, and Jincheng. The plan also proposes advancing the social security card 'one-card' system across the six provinces (municipalities) of Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Shandong, and Henan, expanding integrated one-card services for transportation and tourism sightseeing. The plan has now been issued, and the related tasks are in the deployment and advancement stage.
