Ninth Winter Tour Tibet campaign launches on October 15

On October 14, 2026, the Tibet Autonomous Region Department of Culture and Tourism announced that the ninth "Winter Tour Tibet" preferential campaign will launch on October 15 and run until March 15, 2027, lasting five months. During the campaign, apart from temple scenic areas, all A-level tourist attractions across the region will be open with free admission, including popular sites such as Namtso, Yamdrok Lake, and Basum Lake. At the same time, passenger transport prices of transport enterprises with legal tourism qualifications will be implemented at no more than 50% of peak-season prices, with large vehicles not exceeding 6 yuan/km, medium vehicles not exceeding 4 yuan/km, and small vehicles not exceeding 3.5 yuan/km.
