Tourism fixed asset investment prosperity index up 4.2% year-on-year in first three quarters

On October 23, 2026, the China Tourism Academy and the China Amusement Park Association jointly released a report in Zhengzhou. The report shows that the tourism fixed asset investment prosperity index for the first three quarters of 2026 grew 4.2% compared with the same period last year. The amusement equipment procurement index fluctuated in sync with the comprehensive tourism investment index and remained in expansion, with amusement parks, theme parks, and natural scenic area resorts as the three main scenarios. The report notes that investment is shifting from new heavy-asset construction to existing-stock renovation and content innovation, and that investment in counties and lower-tier markets is expected to be further released as transportation accessibility improves.
