Railway 12306 warns against third-party platform ticket-grabbing tricks
On October 8, 2026, Railway 12306 issued a reminder urging passengers to beware of seven types of "ticket-grabbing" tricks on third-party platforms: posting pseudo-science short videos to induce ticket purchases, imitating official logos to obtain account passwords, using high-frequency text messages and calls to create anxiety, packaging 12306's free waitlist as a paid "dual channel," promoting 20 yuan to 55 yuan "acceleration packages," packaging rebooking as a paid "online seat change," and displaying "no tickets" as "tickets available" to induce buying long and riding short. Railway 12306 also stated that it is the only official online train ticket sales platform of China Railway, has never cooperated with any third-party platform, and has no additional charges such as acceleration packages or membership fees. The current progress is that Railway 12306 has publicly reminded users of the above tricks, reminding passengers to be careful not to fall for them.
