IHG becomes exclusive accommodation partner of the 2026 Rugby League World Cup

On 13 October 2026, IHG Newsroom announced that IHG Hotels & Resorts has become the exclusive accommodation partner of the 2026 Rugby League World Cup. The tournament will open in Sydney this Thursday, covering men's, women's and wheelchair competitions, with 26 teams representing 14 countries, playing 53 matches across nine host cities in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea, running until 15 November. IHG will rely on its regional hotel network to host teams, officials and fans, and provide more engagement opportunities for IHG One Rewards members.
