BCD launches 1 euro SAF programme

On 27 October 2026, BCD Travel partnered with sustainable technology partner Squake to launch the One Euro SAF programme. Corporate clients add at least 1 euro to each air ticket booking transaction fee, and the accumulated funds are invested in sustainable aviation fuel through Squake. The programme targets two major barriers to corporate SAF adoption: the high upfront cost and the coordination of internal reporting and accounting; clients can first test governance and assurance processes at low cost; Squake handles procurement and provides the corresponding certificates. The programme is initially for European clients, and the 1 euro is a starting point rather than a fixed rate.
