Multiple ancient architecture scenic areas in Shanxi implement off-season opening and ticket policies from November

Starting November 1, 2026, multiple ancient architecture sites in Shanxi will implement off-season operating hours, with closing times generally one hour earlier than in peak season. Foguang Temple and Nanchan Temple will be open until March 31 of the following year during the off-season, and will be closed on Mondays. The Yungang Grottoes will implement off-season ticket prices over the same period, with the full-price ticket reduced to 100 yuan, 20 yuan lower than in peak season, and the half-price ticket reduced to 50 yuan. The Xixian Xiaoxitian landscape light show will suspend nighttime performances, and the five peaks of Mount Wutai and surrounding areas will be subject to time-limited closures. The above measures take effect from November 1 and are currently in the implementation stage.
