Qingdao operates dozens of tourist special trains this year

On October 6, 2026, tourist special train Y729 "Qilu Star · Xingye" departed from Qingdao Chengyang Station carrying 780 tourists and arrived at Ejin Banner Station in Inner Mongolia. The report said Qingdao has operated dozens of tourist special trains with different themes this year; since Chengyang Station first launched special trains in 6 directions in 2024, it has cumulatively served nearly 10,000 tourists, with elderly tourists accounting for 89%. Qingdao has also launched themed trains such as "Qilu No. 1," Beer Festival special trains, and the "Peony" flower-viewing train, and has built a ticket-stub economy platform linking nearly 1,000 merchants to provide consumer discounts, promoting the integration of transportation and tourism.
