Domestic route fuel surcharges to increase from October 10

Reported on October 8, 2026, China Southern Airlines and multiple other airlines announced that fuel surcharges on domestic route tickets sold from October 10 (inclusive) will be increased. For adult passengers, routes of 800 kilometers (inclusive) or less will be 50 yuan per flight segment, and routes over 800 kilometers will be 90 yuan per flight segment, an increase of 10 yuan and 20 yuan respectively compared with before the adjustment. Follow-up reports the same day stated that domestic route fuel surcharges will be increased from October 10, with a maximum one-way charge of 90 yuan. The current progress is that the above adjustment is about to take effect on October 10.
