Marriott Pilots Bonvoy Upgrade Waitlist Visibility in US and Canada

Marriott International is testing a new feature at a small number of hotels and among members that lets Bonvoy elite members see their complimentary upgrade waitlist status, including queue position and estimated number of upgrades available, with those successfully upgraded notified one day before check-in. According to One Mile at a Time, Marriott plans to expand the pilot to more than 250 hotels in the United States and Canada by early November 2026. On October 16, 2026, Hospitality Technology reported successively on the purpose of the pilot and waitlist visibility, with content consistent with earlier reports, all stating that the pilot remains in a small-scale testing phase, with no news of further expansion or an official launch.
