PhocusWire and Voyager HQ Release Hot 25 Startups for 2019
PhocusWire and Voyager HQ released the Hot 25 Startups for 2019 list. The article notes investment in travel startups exceeded $8 billion in 2017, and Phocuswright research indicates $36 billion in overall M&A deals and funding between 2015 and 2016. Corporate innovation programs such as Amadeus for Startups, JetBlue Technology Ventures and Ctrip's Oasis Labs increased investments, with such deals rising from 18 in 2013 to 88 in 2017. Airlines invested in four times as many startups in 2017 as in 2016.
