Sabre will co-host the DeepLearning.AI Voice AI Hackathon on July 18 in Silicon Valley, challenging developers to build travel AI agents using Sabre production APIs and Vocal Bridge voice technology. The event aims to explore managing the complete trip via voice AI, including flights, hotels, ground transport. Partners include American Airlines, PayPal, with about 400 developers expected.
Amadeus hosted a hackathon in Bangkok in October 2025 focused on using agentic AI to simplify traveler experiences, enhance personalization, and improve travel operations. Travel players from Asia Pacific used at least one Amadeus Self-Service API alongside Google Cloud's Gemini models, Agent Engine on Vertex AI, and Agent Development Kit. The theme was reimagining search, book, and service experiences. Teams included Trip.com, MakeMyTrip, PKFARE, and BCD Travel. Winning ideas covered personalized travel assistants, business travel assistance, and autonomous search agents.
