Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) has updated its demand and supply report for regular aviation in July 2026. In the month, 11.9 million passengers flew through Brazilian airports: 9.2 million domestic (up 1.9% year-on-year) and 2.7 million international (up 4.2%). Demand (passengers times kilometers flown) increased 3.5% domestically and 4.4% internationally. Supply (seats times kilometers flown) grew 5.4% domestically and 5.3% internationally. Cargo totaled 123,800 tons, up 7.3% year-on-year.

The report shows that in 2025, Brazilian scheduled passenger flights totaled 914,000 departures with no accidents or fatalities. Across all aviation segments, there were 153 accidents (down 12.57%), 82 serious incidents (up 15.49%), and 62 fatalities (down 59.21%). The accident rate per 100,000 flight hours was 5.9, a 24% reduction from 2024, and the fatality rate decreased by 56%. Accidents were concentrated in agricultural and general aviation, together accounting for about 60% of occurrences. Brazil signed Decree No. 13.094 regulating the National Sustainable Aviation Fuel Program (ProBioQAV), setting progressive emission reduction targets for domestic aviation from 1% in 2027 to 10% in 2037. ANAC will oversee compliance and create a SAF Sustainability Certificate using a book and claim model.

Autonomous vehicle mobility specialist Moove has raised $250 million in Series C funding at a valuation of $2.1 billion. The round was led by Mubadala Investment Company and co-led by Woven Capital, Toyota's Growth Fund, and Ion Pacific. Google Maps has updated its conversational interface Ask Maps with hotel and local event discovery, extending the service to more countries. Users can ask for hotels with specific price ranges and ratings using natural language, and Ask Maps returns real-time prices and availability, along with suggestions for nearby activities and booking links. Personal Intelligence has been added, allowing users to connect Ask Maps to Gmail for trip-related suggestions.
