Hilton Opens and Renovates Worldwide This Season: From Kaua'i to Kuala Lumpur

Hilton has announced its seasonal global openings and renovations, spanning multiple brand debuts in new markets: NoMad debuts in Singapore, Waldorf Astoria and Conrad debut in Kuala Lumpur, Curio Collection debuts in Hawai'i, Tapestry Collection enters Baja California, and Curio Collection enters Valencia, Spain. In the U.S., Signia Hilton expands to Naples and Indianapolis, while Apartment Collection by Hilton enters Pittsburgh and Huntsville. Renovations include a $25 million property-wide renovation of Conrad Indianapolis timed to its 20th anniversary. Hilton Honors is running the More Points to Play promotion from Oct. 15 to Dec. 31, 2026.

Agoda report: Asia's developers grant AI more autonomy but keep human accountability

Agoda released its AI Developer Report 2026, covering Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam and India. 53% of surveyed developers already use AI agents in production or broadly, led by Thailand at 64%; the share saving seven or more hours a week rose to 55% from 18% in 2025; 71% expect AI agents to handle most development work within three years, while 79% still require human approval for production deployment. Cost is the top barrier at 28%.

Trip.Biz launches Agent ONE; India travel market grows just 1% in 2025

Trip.Biz, Trip.com Group's business-travel arm, unveiled its Agent ONE AI suite at the Transform 2026 summit in Singapore, comprising planning, booking, approval and insight agents, claiming it cuts average booking time from about 45 minutes to 2 minutes and approval waits from over an hour to under 3 seconds. Meanwhile, a Phocuswright report shows India's travel market grew just 1% to $41.7 billion in 2025, with a 13% rebound to $47.2 billion expected in 2026. Cloudbeds and Klook launched a two-way distribution integration, and WTTC, JATA and Tourism EXPO Japan signed an MOU.
