China Briefing: 6 Cruise Ships to Operate 14 Voyages Over Mid-Autumn and National Day Holidays
On 24 September, the State Council Information Office held a briefing on transport service arrangements for the Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays. Li Yang, spokesperson and vice minister of the Ministry of Transport, said six cruise ships will operate 14 voyages across Shanghai, Tianjin and Shenzhen during the holiday period. No-destination sea cruises have grown quickly this year, with three rounds already run: Adora Magic City carried 4,000 passengers on its first sailing in Shanghai in June, and Ideal operated two voyages in Tianjin in August, with 2,700 passengers on the first.
