Shanxi Culture and Tourism Department Issues Mid-Autumn and National Day Travel Advisory

On September 19, the Shanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism issued a 2026 Mid-Autumn and National Day travel advisory covering six areas: itinerary planning, consumption precautions, travel safety, activity participation, civilized travel and rights protection. It urges visitors to follow official information on weather, transport, scenic-area reservations and visitor caps and to travel off-peak; to use licensed travel agencies with signed contracts and reject abnormally low-priced tours; and for self-driving, to check vehicles, avoid fatigue and speeding and drive cautiously on mountain roads.
