U.S. State Department: Azerbaijan at Level 3 'Reconsider Travel'

The U.S. Department of State has issued a Level 3 'Reconsider Travel' advisory for Azerbaijan, citing terrorism, armed conflict and landmine risk, with some areas at increased risk. The advisory says that following the onset of hostilities between the United States and Iran on 28 February 2026, there has been an ongoing threat of drone and missile attacks from Iran; a drone strike hit Nakhchivan International Airport on 5 March 2026, and commercial flights have been seriously disrupted.
