The flood caused severe damage to infrastructure including Bright Angel Canyon, and some areas are closed. Weather authorities warn of possible thunderstorms and heavy rain, leading to flash floods, mudslides, and rockfalls. Last year, the park attracted over 4.43 million visitors.
