Seven Indonesian Airports Closed Due to Volcanic Ash, Affecting 341,000 Passengers

Indonesia's Ministry of Transportation said on the 7th that seven airports, including Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, remain closed due to the eruption of Anak Krakatoa and the spread of volcanic ash, affecting approximately 341,000 passengers. A total of 2,961 flights have been affected over the past three days, including 2,339 domestic and 622 international flights. The closure has been extended until 23:59 on September 7, with resumption of operations pending assessment.
