Rough seas intensified in the Beibu Gulf off Guangxi on 13 September due to the outer circulation of a South China Sea tropical depression, suspending some coastal passenger and tourism services. The depression's centre made landfall in Vietnam's Quang Tri province around 17:00 on 13 September. Strong winds and rain are expected in the Beibu Gulf from 14 to 15 September, with gusts of force 8 to 9 from the night of 13 to 14 September.
