    Thailand Tightens Entry Rules to Focus on 'Quality Tourism'

    Thailand is cutting visa-free stays for travelers from more than 90 countries and territories starting Tuesday, reversing a pandemic-era expansion to curb misuse of visa privileges and illegal activities involving foreign nationals. More than 60 nationalities, including most Schengen countries, the United States and Australia, will see visa-free stays reduced from 60 days to 30. Some nationalities get 15-day exemptions, while others including Azerbaijan, Serbia and Belarus shift to visa-on-arrival. The rules also limit visa-free entries to two per year.

    Brazil Visa-Free Window Nears End; GZL Launches Full South America Product Line

    GZL, under Lingnan Holdings, said its new season South America products are fully on sale, with departures through April next year, discounts of up to 5,000 yuan per person, and multiple visa alternatives. Brazil has implemented visa-free entry for ordinary Chinese passports on a trial basis since 11 May this year, valid until 31 December; Uruguay also announced reciprocal visa-free entry in June.     Chinese Citizens Still Enjoy 30-Day Visa-Free Entry to Thailand

    The Chinese Embassy in Thailand announced that starting September 15, 2026, Chinese citizens holding official or ordinary passports can still enter Thailand visa-free for tourism, family visits, and other purposes under the bilateral agreement, with a stay of up to 30 days per entry and a maximum of 90 days within any 180-day period. Thailand's cancellation of its unilateral 60-day visa-free policy does not affect the bilateral agreement.

    ACI World Reveals 2025 Rankings of the World's Busiest Airports

    ACI World published its 2025 rankings of the world's busiest airports on 14 April 2026. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport retained the top spot for total passengers with 106.3 million, followed by Dubai International and Tokyo Haneda; Chicago O'Hare ranked first for aircraft movements. Global total passengers are estimated at 9.8 billion in 2025, up 3.6% year over year; international passengers reached 4.0 billion, up 5.9%; air cargo rose 2.9% to almost 128.9 million metric tonnes. Shanghai Pudong posted the biggest jump in the top 10, rising from 10th to 5th.
