Fifth Nujiang Canyon Culture Week to Open September 27

On September 12, a press conference for the 2026 fifth Nujiang Canyon Culture Week, themed "Shanghai-Yunnan Friendship, Ethnic Style," was held in Fugong County, Nujiang, Yunnan. Under the theme "Mysterious Nujiang, Outdoor Paradise, Hiking Fugong — Let the World Hear Nujiang," the event will run from September 27 to October 7 using a "1+7+N" whole-area festival model, with Shiyueliang Square as the main venue and seven townships as featured sub-venues. Drawing on the high-mountain canyon resources of the G219 Nujiang section, the culture week will launch a cycling event in Fugong, along with ethnic markets, night markets, the "Fubao" original IP merchandise line and canyon city walk routes.
