US State Department issues Level 3 travel advisory for the West Bank: reconsider travel
The US State Department has issued a Level 3 "Reconsider Travel" advisory for the West Bank due to terrorism and unrest. US government employees working in Israel and their family members are currently prohibited from all personal travel to the West Bank, with passage permitted only via Routes 1, 90 (to the Allenby Bridge crossing) and 443, and travel to Jericho, Bethlehem and other locations from dawn to midnight. Terrorist attacks and violence in the area have increased over the past year, with some incidents causing US citizen casualties.
