UK CAA welcomes prison sentence over fraudulent travel agencies

The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) welcomed the prison sentence in a fraud case involving Zulu Travel Services Ltd. Following an Insolvency Service investigation, Darren Anderson, 43, ran several businesses under aliases while disqualified as a company director and attempted to obtain an ATOL licence for Zulu Travel Services Ltd, which was never progressed after the application fee went unpaid. Anderson was sentenced to four years in prison. Zulu Travel Services Ltd was wound up in the public interest in June 2024 after failing to keep company accounts or pay bills, and false accounts were submitted to Companies House.
