AHLA and Actabl Report: 90% of Hotel Employees Say AI Improves Efficiency
AI enables hospitality workers to focus on human interaction: report
On November 4, 2026, the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) and software company Actabl released a joint report surveying hotel industry employees' feelings about the use of artificial intelligence. The report shows that 90% of hotel industry employees said AI helps them complete daily work faster. Regarding the areas where AI is most effective, 38% of respondents believed AI is most effective at improving operational efficiency, nearly 10 percentage points higher than those choosing revenue growth (28%); however, only 15% of respondents believed AI improved front desk work. The report states that AI's greatest value is empowering employees rather than replacing manpower, allowing employees to redirect time toward interacting with guests. The report has currently been publicly released, with no subsequent developments yet.
