A survey commissioned by SAP Concur reveals that 88% of U.S. travel managers believe business travel in their industry will increase by the end of 2022. However, nearly four in five (79%) travel managers say their department's FY22 budget and resources are insufficient to meet anticipated travel demand. The survey also found that the travel manager role has become more challenging, with added paperwork, HR tasks, and staffing shortages, but they also feel more empowered to make demands of travel providers than before the pandemic.
