Hotel rates climb this Labor Day weekend: AAA

According to a new AAA report, hotel rates for the 2026 Labor Day weekend (Sept. 3-7) will be 9% higher for domestic bookings and 12% higher for international hotels compared to last year. Fuel and domestic airfare costs are also up, but cruises and international flights are cheaper. Despite rising costs, Americans prioritize outdoor leisure destinations like Seattle, Orlando, and Boston.
