North American Transborder Freight Up 19.9% in June 2026

According to the U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics, transborder freight between the U.S. and Canada and Mexico totaled $157.1 billion in June 2026, up 19.9% year-over-year. Truck freight reached $104.4 billion (+23.0%), rail $17.1 billion (+11.0%), pipeline $11.0 billion (+38.9%), vessel $10.4 billion (+4.0%), and air $6.2 billion (+24.2%). U.S.-Mexico freight rose 22.2%, while U.S.-Canada freight increased 17.0%.
