Xinchang Travel Agency Fined for Ordering Services from Unqualified Supplier

In June 2026, a travel agency in Xinchang County organised a 10-day tour of Guizhou, Chongqing and the Three Gorges and rented vehicles from an individual, Zhang Moujun, who lacked road transport operating qualifications. The Xinchang County Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau found this violated Article 34 of the PRC Tourism Law and, under Article 97(2), ordered correction, confiscated illegal gains and imposed a fine of CNY 19,000 on the agency, CNY 7,500 on directly responsible manager Huang Mougui and CNY 7,500 on other directly responsible person Huang Moufei. The case was closed in July 2026.
