Togo Travel Advisory: Exercise Increased Caution

The U.S. Department of State issued a Level 2 travel advisory for Togo, citing risks of crime, terrorism, unrest, kidnapping, and health concerns. Some areas have increased risk. U.S. government employees require special authorization to travel to northern regions, including north of Dapaong and Kpendjal districts, and are prohibited from overnight stays north of Mango. Emergency services are limited outside Lome.
