Agoda Data: Domestic Tourism Interest Doubles for Mid-Autumn Long Weekend in Taiwan

Agoda data shows that domestic accommodation searches for the 2026 Mid-Autumn long weekend (25-28 September) have doubled compared to last year. Top destinations include Taipei, Yilan, Tainan, etc. Green Island searches increased 4.5x, Penghu nearly 4x, and Hualien and Taitung nearly 3x. Travelers are shifting preferences to outlying islands and natural mountain-and-sea destinations, indicating increased interest in slow-paced and nature experiences.
