GBTA Study Finds Gaps in Travel Risk Management

A GBTA Foundation study of 148 travel managers found gaps in many organizations' ability to manage traveler safety. Only one in five used technology to capture out-of-program bookings; 40% of North America-based travelers preferred booking directly with suppliers; and only 31% of employees would book through their company's program even when traveling to places they considered unsafe. Integrated systems can help locate travelers, with 68% able to merge data in under two hours.
