Travel data specialist Travelogix has partnered with Brisbane, Australia-based Kudos Travel Technology, with the two working as preferred technology partners to offer a more connected technology ecosystem. Travelport and travel technology SaaS company Travelsoft have completed an integration bringing Travelport's Trip Services API platform into the Travelsoft Group via Orchestra. Travelport's airline content, including both traditional EDIFACT and modern NDC, is now available within Orchestra and Travel Compositor, and will progressively extend to other group platforms including airQuest, Atcore, Tigerbay and Traffics. The move makes Travelport content available to more than 400 travel agencies across Europe.
A GBTA Foundation study of 148 travel managers found gaps in many organizations' ability to manage traveler safety. Only one in five used technology to capture out-of-program bookings; 40% of North America-based travelers preferred booking directly with suppliers; and only 31% of employees would book through their company's program even when traveling to places they considered unsafe. Integrated systems can help locate travelers, with 68% able to merge data in under two hours.
